The birth of Krishna is often regarded as a 'virgin birth' due to Vishnu himself descending into the womb of Devaki. Virgin Births were fairly common in non-Christian religions around the world, however there is nothing in the Hindu scriptures that state Krishna's mother was a virgin. In fact, the Hindu scriptures state that Devaki was married and had already had seven children. Therefore, the virgin birth in this case should be more accurately understood as divine conception.
Similarites and Differences between Jesus, Krishna and Buddha
Virgin Birth
Many people draw upon the comparisons between the avatars of Vishnu, mainly Buddha and Krishna, with Jesus. According to Das (2014) there are many similarities between Christianity and Hinduism which is ''particularly prominent in the case of the life and teachings of the two central figures of these world religions — Christ and Krishna.''

Christ and Krishna have many parallels, for instance they are both believed to be the sons of God - since they were divinely conceived, both births were foretold and were born in unusual places - Christ in a lowly manger and Krishna in a prison cell. Das (2014) states that their teachings ''emphasize love and peace.''
The below clip, titled ''Similarities and Differences between Jesus, Krishna and Buddha'', gives a detailed account of the similarities and differences between the men.
