Varaha - The Boar

Lord Vishnu incarnates Himself
for a third time, this time He takes
the form of a boar.
A demon, named Hiranyaksha,
had prayed for Lord Brahma and
he asked to not be killed by either
man or God.
The demon then started to
plunder across the world. He
then stole the Vedas from Lord
Brahma, while He was sleeping,
and performed terrible things.
To retrieve the Vedas and to save
the world from this demon, Lord Vishnu assumed the role of a boar and brought out the earth from the under of the ocean, using its two tusks. Varaha then killed Hiranyaksha and retrieved the Vedas from the demon and brought them back to Lord Brahma.
