Kalki

Lord Vishnu will come down to
earth in the form of horse. The
tenth avatar is yet to appear on
the earth. Kalki means 'Eternity'
or 'White Horse'. He is expected
to appear at the end of Kali Yuga.
Kali Yuga is the time period in
which we are currently living in.
It is predicted that Kalki will
come, and the world will end,
in the year 428899CE.
According to Johnsen (2009, 192)
he will 'arrive on a white horse,
embodying truth and wise
leadership' and will then liberate the world from 'injustice'.
The earliest mention of Kalki is in the Vishnu Parana dated after the time of the Gupta Empire which lasted from 320 to 550 CE. The Agni Purana, one of the earliest Puranas, describes Kalki and the end time. It draws heavily upon the Vishnu Purana in content. A minor scripture named Purana has the most detailed descriptions of Kalki.
The below clip, titled 'Dashavatar - Illustrated Story - Kalki Avatar... The Warrior Incarnation', is a great presentation of the future coming of Kalki.
There are many signs of the coming of Kalki. Among them is that the lower modes of material nature will be become so strong that people will lose interest in spiritual topics. It is said that society will become godless, and those who are religious will be unique in character and will be ridiculed for their beliefs. These people will leave their cities and disengage from the earthly existence. In this way, religion will disappear from earth and it is in this time that the dark influence will become dominant will manifest without hindrance.
By the time Lord Kalki appears, no one will be waiting for His arrival and therefore no one will know His name or His appearance. His army of brahmanas will as pure as if they have come from heaven. When Kalki arrives, He will kill the remaining criminals and deliver religious people to heaven.
Christ and Kalki
Several verses taken from the book of Revelations in the Bible are similar to the descriptions of Kalki in the Purana's.
In the Book of Revelations (19.11-12) it says "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.''
In this regard, Revelations (14.1-3) also describes "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb [a typical symbol for the Divine or an incarnation of the Divine] stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads."
The book of Revelations significant description of the name of God upon the forehead links to the practice of the brahmans. The brahmans write the name of God, such as Krishna or Vishnu, on their foreheads. As previously mentioned, there will be less religious people at the end of times and therefore there may actually be 'hundred forty and four thousand' religious people left when Kalki appears. Many see this to suggest that people mentioned in the book of relvetions are referencing the Brahmans.
These verses are similar to the description of Kalki given, therefore they cannot be ignored and may provide additional insight for Christians.
