Rama of Ayodhya

Rama, Vishnu's seventh
incarnation, is the central
character in the epic Ramayan.
In the epic, the character Rama
shows the world how to be the
ideal son, husband, king and
person. Rama was put upon this
planet to get rid of the demon with
ten heads, Ravana, who had
immunity from the Gods. Ravana
thought he was too strong to be
killed by man.
The story of Ramayan, is an
exciting story of the war raged by
Rama against various evil elements of the world and in the end against Ravana.
Ramayan epitomises the ideal behaviour of man, with special focus on man-wife relationship, son-father relationship and the rules for ideal governance by a king.
The below clip, titled 'CineKids│Ramayana: The Story of Diwali', is the story of how the festival of Diwali came into practise.
Diwali is the festival of light which is celebrated every autumn It signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Before the night of Diwali people clean, renovate and decorate their homes. On Diwali night, Hindus dress up in new clothes, light up lamps and candles both inside and outside their home, where the family give prayers to Lakshmi whom is the goddess of wealth and prosperity. After the prayers, there would be fireworks and a family feast of sweets, where the family exchange gifts.
